I'm here because I was banned from Reddit for speaking against fascism.

I was banned from Reddit for speaking against fascism.
Which from my time on lemmy is likely code for one or more of the following:
- Taking other users out of context and calling them nazis
- Calling people nazis over disagreements or as a default method of disagreement
- Calls for violence and/or death threats
- Generally being insufferable with an over-inflated sense of self-righteousness
You don't need to reply. My instance is shutting down in 2 weeks, and I've already banned you because of how self-righteous that reply was. I DGAF anymore, and this kind of virtue signaling is part of the problem.
Speaking out against fascism is one thing and admirable, but that's not what Lemmings actually do here.
Many of the people here were banned from reddit for being unbearable and they learned nothing
I told a Nazi spouting hate to drink bleach. what did I learn?
Reddit is full of Nazi supporting scum.
edit: I also got banned from imgur for telling a person promoting the euthanasia of disabled people was better than allowing them to "dirty the pool". I also told them to drink bleach.
Imagine my surprise when a US president tells people the same thing and gets reelected!
I've been perma-banned from reddit a bunch and I eventually just got tired of making new accounts lol.
heheh they use some kind of fingerprinting, a combination of your OS, ISP IP, and browser. At some point you can't keep creating new accounts.
Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure I used an encrypted email to make my last account
Yes but you still used the same computer and configuration to go to the reddit website to sign up, right?

All your encrypted email does is make it hard for someone to read your email. It doesn't stop all the metadata.
I came here because I was permabanned from all os Reddit because I wrote an elevator lie about. A fictitious lie about a cheese man roaming the campus late at night
Edit:I’m sorry I can’t make this coherent I’m knocked badly
Are you sure it was a lie ?
hay, some of us were dutifully agitating for the cause!
Little of column A, little of column B.
I like it here for the most part but I don’t like the reddit tendencies. Stuff we solved many years ago there. Why is it not great anymore?
People ruin everything.
The bans are mostly meaningless these days tho. Its so easy to make a new account and bypass detections.
not on reddit though, much harder to bypass since they upped thier bannings and detection methods this year and recently too. the ones that are bypassing on reddit usually are using hundreds of account at once and earning some money from doing it. additionally they also are using AI to indiscirminately ban people.
Its still super easy just search the web how to. Use a new browser window with new email on mobile network connection - its literally impossible to reliably fingerprint this.
Reddit can associate accounts over time.
if you're using the mobile apps then yea you're fucked, don't do that
i dint, it was firefox browser on private with some adblockers, they just decided to purge thousands of peoples accounts at once.
I admit that I got banned from Reddit. I suspect that after saying a bunch of stuff that was unfriendly to lord Musk, to Netanyahu and to Hamas. Since then I seem to have gotten even the most innocent comments reported, leading to a permaban.
Tbqf not missing much, place is a cesspit
i was banned before all that drama, i posted/reported on someone on r/technology and recieved a temp ban for "reporting too much, or reporting that isnt "approved nebulously"
