Hello new Lemmy friends!
Word on the street tells us our community is regularly making it the all page. While this is very cool news to hear, we can see how the sudden emergence of our posts in your feed might feel jarring and probably raises some questions. And also how, without knowing the backstory, our community might appear less than virtuous, so here’s a very brief introduction which hopefully will clear a few things up.
The woman we’re discussing is a body positive influencer and media personality who has gained fame and wealth by lying, manipulating, exploiting her children for content, plagiarizing BIPOC creators and blaming her BIPOC content editor for it (thereby ruining her career), among other things. Her fraudulent behavior is no different (I’d argue worse) from the likes of Jay Shetty (google him if you don’t know who he is or what he did). She’s the latest in a long line of grifting influencers who are abusing their power, taking advantage of their position and exploiting their followers. The difference is that she’s Canadian. Our laws around social media and advertising aren’t as clear (and where they are she’s disobeyed them), add to that, our mainstream media has protected her from those who’ve tried to expose her grift and silenced/intimidated anyone who’s tried to speak out.
Our Reddit sub was taken down due to reports of copyright infringement, which is unfounded and categorically untrue as no one ever tried to steal her work and pass it off as their own. The mods have made an appeal. While at first glance it may seem like we’re just “shitting on her” the sub has been more devoted to investigation and posting proof of her lies than just bitching for the sake of bitching. The reality is that she’s hurt, manipulated and let down a lot of people. She stole intellectual property and employment, caused mental distress and has repeatedly told lies to boost engagement and profit off her audience, so people are understandably upset that their voices are being silenced.
We’re grateful to have been welcomed so kindly by so many of you, and to those sticking around to watch the drama unfold, we’re glad to have you!

Her gums may also be swollen because of her lip injections. Her lips don't close properly, which will cause dry mouth. Dry mouth from dehydration can lead to swollen gums. Insufficient saliva allows bacteria to multiply, causing inflammation and potentially leading to swollen gums, especially if it progresses to gum disease. This is why Dr. injectors won't inject lips to the size she has.

How does someone who does so little and has so few responsibilities and gets to lounge at their comfortable home so much look this rundown and exhausted?

Imagine bird 💩 putting something that breaths ahead of herself. She simply can’t. If they wanted to adopt they could. Bird travels but she only takes her content husband and content kids with her about once a year. I guess there were a few cheer comps. She does nothing around her home to nurture people or pets. Maybe Shame doesn’t want to take care of the dog. If we could hear from the fly on the wall in this home I bet it would be hella interesting!
This whole video was soooooo performative. Like you said, if she desperately cared about this dog and keeping it , she would find a way to do so. But she’s just putting on the waterworks to make you feel sorry for lil miss career woman who literally only leaves the house every day to drop her kid at NK’s house for babysitting while she sits at home taking underwear selfies all day.
I am glad that the dog will find a home better than hers though and be away from her constantly putting a camera in its face. But her wishing for its new family to make a space so she can continue to watch over him, not everyone wants to put everything online Birdie!
This is also juvenile and irresponsible. This is the reaction a child would have not quiet understanding the foster was temporary. And the timeline comes at no surprise. She wasn’t told she would have the dog for a year. All she could handle of this dogs care is a few weeks at most. Things and beings have a shelf life with this one! Sure you will miss the dog after being in your home for a few weeks. But this? Nonsense! I truly don’t know what my family would do if I did this by myself with a phone. They are a tough crowd! 😂 This reaction is irrational. Not sure she’s a good fit for fostering if when the dog leaves you’re in emotional distress enough to document it. Just take care of the animals you already have ffs. 🤦🏼♀️
Such a good point. She probably hasn’t even helped lemon understand that this dog is there temporarily and prepare her for the moment the foster dog leaves the house. She only cares about her feelings and how it’s gonna affect her, she’ll make everyone feel so bad for her and only her when the time comes.
She most def hasn't explained this to L and she will film and exploit the poor child's emotional breakdown when it's time for the dog to go

He will find a better home where they don't stick his rickety-looking crate off beside a pile of crap that is beside a counter with a pile of crap dangling off. Looks like they gave next to no thought on how to create a little space for him. They don't have a small house, they definitely could have given or made a spot bigger and less-cramped than what he has.
I know there's rescue orgs that literally come into your home like CPS and assess the house, surroundings, family, etc to see if it's a good fit. Epic failure for this org not doing this. After this stunt, their ethics seem questionable.
