Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

Due to a pituitary issue when I was younger I have maybe a bizarre world record of the smallest feet and hands on a fully grown man. My feet and hands are normal looking but very small. They were tiny as a baby and just never grew that big. Thought you all would find it interesting - I know it makes for good chat at parties!

Op does this cause issues like foot pain or anything like that?

Don't worry, variation in a population is expected. Even if you're an outlier, that doesn't make you weird!

I was born clubfooted and mine are smaller than average (for 5'11").

Length-wise I'm probably technically around a 7, but I have a super high arch that prevents me from wearing shoes that size.

I end up wearing anywhere from 7.5-9 depending on the fit. The toes of my shoes almost always end up curling up over time due to the extra empty space.

You want some of mine? I’m a size 12 and it’s hard to find shoes in 12. Most places carry a smaller selection, so I can usually find shoes, just not shoes I want.

I’m always yelling out “who are these men with tiny feet!?” In frustration while shopping. I’m 5,11” but wear size 12. The worst part is I didn’t realize I was a comfortable 12 until well into adulthood. I used to buy 11 and thought they were supposed to be snug, my feet hurt a lot. I bought a pair of 12 high top adidas and my feet feel so much better

I'm size 14.... yeah

Even worse. I wear size 12 and a half. Surprise! They don't make half sizes after 12... So, either swimming in a 13, or super snug in a 12.

Get good thick insoles maybe? Extra padding and will help make a 13 fit better

I feel your pain! A couple of sneaker makers have 12.5.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago

Im 6'1 and size 14. I hate buying shoes lol.

That means you have small pp as well. Sorry bro.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Nah, big pp because he has more blood flow to spare.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Nah that part of me was spared fortunately

You must feel like a god while cranking it then. Like you have the biggest hog in the west lol

How often does this come up, in all seriousness?

I assume online we’re all going to make the joke, which means we’re all gonna think it in real life … but how many people comment it?

Also, how often have you been egged on to “prove” it

If it's anything like me, a similarly tall man with LARGER feet that look almost Clown-proportional even with me height: a lot, but never seriously enough for it to mean anything fun or funny happens

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Do your smaller-than-average feet have any appreciable effect on your mobility? If not, I have to wonder why we need these clown-ass feet at all. Waste of meat and leather.

Footing is important for melee combat. All the small-foots got killed off in the middle ages because it's hard to defend yourself when you fall down a lot.

No not significantly. Obviously I've always secretly wondered this as well. I could not imagine walking around in size 7s...let alone size 10s or size 13s! That just seems like so much foot to me. I feel like I'd be stubbing my toes all over the place and they'd be so heavy as well. Saying this, I know that no one could possibly understand this as I'm the odd one out here...but yeah, to me everyone has absolutely (too?) massive feet.

My partner has size 15-16 feet, depending on the shoe manufacturer. Can confirm, he smacks his toes and feet into things all the time.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That is indeed mildly interesting

I thought you might think so!
