All is quiet on the cat ranch.

This is a daily post for “casual” conversation. If you want to post or talk about something non autism related this is where to do it. For example if you want to info dump about your special interest but it doesn’t fall into “autism related” then you can post it here in the comments. All other rules are still active, be respectful to each other.

Mother's cat is here to be medicated. She's been medicated and fuck me the ants found her food

We have a guy come spray for the ants and there've been no ants in the kitchen so I thought we were fine.

Mother's cat stays in the bedroom so her food is there and the ants apparently have been waiting for food in the bedroom, hell

It was thrown away, bowl in the washer, and I gave her a plate of treats for breakfast. The ants don't like the treats???

The kitten is doing fine. Whiny she can't go into the bedroom though.

I have fought with ants before. It can be an ongoing seasonal battle with them. We've managed to keep them out this year so far. Poor mama cat needs her meds!

It use to be a seasonal battle, what with them in the kitchen. Ever since the spraying started, no more kitchen ants!

NOW BEDROOM ANTS

Only when there's cat food in there though. They aren't just in there normally. Ugghhhh

Sorry for your struggle but that's interesting; the ants must have some sort of detection system to figure out when there's cat food. Maybe they send a scout ant every day. Maybe they can smell it from inside the walls!

If they're sending scout ants I haven't seen them, and scout ants were always an issue with the kitchen invasions. However they find it I wish to crush their entire system into dust. I try and convince them to live in the backyard and not bother us! But they refuse this suggestion.
