The mangaka, Hirohiko Araki, loves fashion and modeling as an artform. A lot of his outfits and poses are inspired by modeling images. He loves the masculine form as well. And yet, dude is straight (and an ally I believe). He talks about having women and crushes and stuff in his notes. Just an artist loving art, and it's amazing.
Edit: also a wife and two kids
i love how he bases his poses off modelling poses, seeing the art and the reference from vogue or whatever is so cool
also, he could be bi
true, but I try not to speculate
same, but i don't really see a difference in speculating straight vs bi. like if saying someone is bi is speculating but saying someone is straight isn't that seems heteronormative to me
In this case we have confirmation that Araki is at least straight, as a base case. Any suggestion of a little zest on top of that is speculation. It would work the same way if Araki was a gay woman, married to a woman, and drawing brolic men. We know Araki would be gay in this case, and we could only speculate about bisexuality.
