They should just give me like a billion dollars so i can make my superman trilogy idea real. I've got the broader details figured out, it would span the entire 20th century. Basically he goes from Smallville to Golden age beating up crooked landlords and kkk guys to being used for spying and propaganda in ww2 since he won't get directly involved. After the atomic bomb goes off he defects to the Soviet union and focuses on reconstruction and just general domestic projects kinda stuff and MAD keeping things from going hot prevents him from getting at all involved in any kinda conflict cause he can't stop every nuke if they're all launched at once. Let Luthor becomes president somewhere around this time, he's Reagan in this so let's just say it's the early 80s. Superman eventually goes all Quest for Peace mode and gathers all the world's nukes and hurls them into the sun. Resulting radiation stuff gives him Krypton Cancer and then what is essentially All Star Superman plays out. I've got things more filled in than that but that's the general idea. Superman is essentially the Christopher Reeves one, not a bad bone in his body and his thing is trying to find a place in a world not made for him without fucking it up, his need to help people and his just being way too powerful to exercise his utility without causing humanity to kill each other off. He's still out there saving cats from trees and stuff and maintains a general optimism but is just in a century long awkward situation geopolitically to be Superman. There's a whole Clark Kent side of the story, Luthor's parallel arc. It'd be 3 movies of about 2 and a half hours if my dreams came true. I'm not a big Superman Guy but I love the idea of What if the Nicest Guy Ever Was Also The Most Powerful Guy Ever? And that it would be a lot more complicated than it seems. This whole sprawling epic falls apart if superman is ever grimdark during. He's Superman, and he wants to do the most good he can without imposing his will on people and being an alien invader
A miniseries, with each episode being a shortish story of things that happens to him every decade.
first episode he's 10 years old, second one he's 20s fighting KKK, 30s WW2...
That might be a bit too drawn out for what I'm going for. I feel like 7 and a half hours or so of movie in total is ample time
