Thats not really a given in the first place, but I was expecting Ghorman to have the most of the character casualties. I guess Bix will bite it during the ghorman massacre. And yeah I was taken aback by the laziness of that plot point. Given that they did something similar during the aldhani heist but both survived.

in general I think this season has alternated between "pretty good" and "pretty cringe" on an a scene to scene basis more wildly than I remember s1 doing, probably as a result of them condensing and excerpting four planned seasons down to one. I feel like it should provide the encouragement and inspiration to other people to keep fleshing out the universe in a way that isn't just lightsaber battles but also isn't terminally dull, unfortunately it is much more likely a fluke not to be repeated

I feel the exact same way. One thing I've noticed, is it really feels like they are trying for the shock factor now, rather than writing the story of a revolution that will naturally have tragedy. They did the same "person is shot off screen but they made it obvious anyways" thing with Brasso and just repeated it, which felt lazy and formulaic.

Which is weird because the first 3 episodes felt like a lot of filler. It certainly feels rushed, like they didn't take their time to pace out the show properly, unlike the first season. Episodes 4-6 were so much better.

I agree so much. A lot of the characters don’t really have arcs but just react to events thrown at them.
