RULES
- Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
- Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
- Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
- Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on [email protected]
- Keep it clean and SFW
- No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

It's really great! I just joined LEMM today and I'm still getting to know it.
Welcome! I've been here for a little over a month and having a good time.
Also I'm completely avoiding political posts - use the built in filtering system in whatever app you're using to block common annoying post words. For me that was certain political figures names for example.
What brings you here?
I can tell from your words that you are a wise person. I strongly agree that we should reduce reading and discussing political content, because we should focus more on the things around us and concentrate on our own lives. Do you still remember the original intention of the invention of the Internet? It was designed to enable us to acquire knowledge more quickly or find joy more easily. Instead of what it is like nowadays, people just end up being "chumps" when they go online, with all sorts of negative energy, the spreading of rumors, smearing, prejudice, discrimination, and hatred.
