EuroGraphicNovels+ ([email protected] / https://piefed.social/c/eurographicnovels)
“BD” refers to Franco-Belgian comics, but let's open things up to include ALL Euro comics and GN's. Euro-style artistry from around the world is also welcome. ^^
* BD = "Bandes dessinées"
* BDT = Bedetheque
* GN = graphic novel
* LBK = Lambiek
* LC = "Ligne claire"

If you want to stay on Lemmy, maybe europe.pub could be an alternative? Could be nice to be on a Europe-oriented instance.
I like PieFed a lot, but I'm not sure if there are any distinctly European instances out there. PieFed.social is run by a kiwi, which I have no issue with whatsoever.
I'm just curious to find an instance that has the same hands-off approach to federation that allows me to choose what I see/block. Too many instance admins defederate on their own gumption, and while I'm sure there are reasons, I'd rather make the choice myself via blocking. I just found out about all this yesterday, and now it's homework time.
Hmm, that's disappointing to hear. That kind of thing should happen pretty rarely, based on my understanding of good policy, transparency, and health of the Lemmysphere.
Any examples, by chance? And backstory about possible 'feuds?'
Tangent: there's a "hidden" sub-URL on Lemmy instances where you can examine who they both link to and block (defederate), add
/instances
after any site; e.g. https://lemm.ee/instancesI've seen a number of folks mentioning or suggesting lemmy.zip (the whole
.zip
TLD gives me the willies, just feels wrong in my old bones) - I know nothing about them, but can examine their federation and it seems to be very open like lemm.ee is: https://lemmy.zip/instances (their sidebar seems to say they want gamers and techs but idk)
