I also only use it to find jobs because it's easy to find only openings posted directly by the employer. I won't deal with agencies or 3rd party recruiters on principle, not least because they don't know what they're talking about and will send a bin man to an astronaut job if they can get away with it (armageddon_movie_but_this_time_its_a_huge_ball_of_orbiting_space_junk.gif)

The other big contender is Xing

This looks pretty good - although I see what you mean about the preponderance of German jobs! A quick search turned up 2000 in Germany, 200 in Austria and Switzerland, and just 4 in non-German-speaking countries. So at least there are some! Maybe they'll become more popular Europe-wide in time, I'll keep an eye on them.
