In the unlikely event that you can not find a European alternative, you may have to consider buying a US branded product. On this website you can look up the brand and see its politics.

If you open a Google Doc in a private browser you should be able to view it without giving them any data, right?

@huppakee @Undertaker Nope, that's not how private browsing works. It does not block the transfer of data.

Just don't use Google Docs.
