Also, not true in my case.

They do care and have shown on numerous occasions my supporting me when I have needed it and instilling in us that we come first and the business is secondary.

Like the owners literally do the same work as us and are far more accommodating than they have to be for us.

How else would you get a pay rise and a reduction in hours, able to work from home when having car trouble, not having a good mental health day fine take it off, etc. We also donโ€™t have any targets or KPIs and donโ€™t actively seek new work as our clients are loyal.

I cede my point. I knew I was laid off for being a piece of shit, I just knew it.

Iโ€™m not saying youโ€™re a piece of shit, just that there are a few good employers out there. I also realise I am lucky.
