Only Chinese EVs, that's what they meant by affordable, 100% tariff as the CCP massively bankrolls EV export. It's to "protect Canadian Steel and Aluminium workers". In other words, the US said to. There's not really a Canadian firm that produces consumer EVs, one company makes EV busses and RVs, but all the rest of the Canadian vehicle companies make either EV conversion kits, high end sports cars(EV and ICE) or armoured vehicles.

There's also a startup in BC that's making EV commercial trucks.
