Frankly, if the gameplay isn't good, then I may not stick with a game all that much; I love storytelling and presentation, but I need it to be more than jut a "cinematic movie" where you just press buttons to progress and that's it.

Exactly, the game has to be engaging.

I used to be "story-telling and presentation" first when it came to games, but frankly, a game is meant to be played, otherwise you might as well be playing a "visual novel" (like wht Japan has where you just click dialogue box after dialogue box).
