United Kingdom
General community for news/discussion in the UK.
Less serious posts should go in [email protected] or [email protected]
More serious politics should go in [email protected].
Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Interesting but not surprising. We live in a 3rd world country. I'm surprised we haven't got packs of wild proto-humans roaming the streets canabalising innocent people with over a decade of fuck ups.
We can't build anything. We can't fix anything. At this point I think it would be an improvement if Russia invaded or nuked us.
"First world" just means NATO, not necessarily prosperous.
I don't care what the official definition is. I'm calling us a shitole country like Rwanda or Nicaragua.
My life would be significantly improved if we were invaded or nuked by Russia.
It would certainly be shorted. I don't think it would be improved. Seriously, if you are facing crushing depression at the moment please do call https://www.samaritans.org - a conversation really can help. Thinking of you.
Do you need a hug, bro?
