Most people's are down voting because It's not funny it's aneurism-posting,

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

i don’t think you know what aneurism-posting means.

in reality it’s not well received because this style of humor just doesn’t hit the 196 community the same as in other internet spaces i frequent. 196 and diana have a lot in common, particularly with the cities skyline crowd, but i tried to diversify my posting to a probably much older and out of the loop audience which is not sensitive of the memetic value here.

i tried a diversification to my posting and the material didn’t land in this context. no need to insult 🤷‍♀️

i thought aneurysm posting was when someone is trying to say something salient but autocorrect and typographical errors have merged in the worst possible way to make it absolutely unintelligible.

(so it reads like they're having an aneurysm)

My understanding is that anuerysm posting is when, even if you account for spelling mistakes and auto correct errors, the text is still indecipherable, as if the person has dysphasia, or is actively having an anuerysm, resulting in grammaticaly unparseable, meaningless sentences, where no salient 'objective' of the utterance can be determined.

(Different from schizo posting, where the sentences usually are mostly parseable as having actual meaning, its just that whats being said is completely insane.)

In order for something to be satirical, it first must be funny

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

This is giving off r/im15andthisisdeep energy

If you think that's the vibe of this post, then you didn't get it.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

It was the vibe of the op's response, not the post

[–] [email protected] 2 points 16 hours ago

Oh honey, then I fear you don't get r/im15andthisisdeep either 💔🥺

It's a meta joke about the obsession companies have with pointing out ways to get their workers to be more environmental or save more money, only with this it's literally just describing driving normally on your own, hence implying that companies don't actually care about you and just want to say things to make you feel responsible for things outside of your control

As a rule of thumb, it's a bad idea to just say the same thing over and over again. Just like how it's a bad idea to tell somebody they don't get a joke when the joke is as bland as saltless pasta

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

yeah almost, you do describe like 2/3rds of the elements at play here but demonstrate a lack of understanding of the third with this comment. that third is probably crucial to what makes this post funny to most, but i won’t explain it to you, specifically, since your tone policing behavior has made it exponentially more fun to repeat

sounds like you didn’t get it :(

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

you're missing part of the joke, but I won't explain it to you

I dislike your tone policing behaviour
