Hard disagree. 3.5mm and USBA devices are still too common and I use a lot of MicroSD despite the phone companies' best efforts (flipper0, GBC flashcart, GBA flashcart, soon rPi devices, etc), I need both of those more than I need HDMI tbh, my TV has a USBA drive and I can just drop whatever movie on a jump drive and slap it in the TV hole.
Tbh I think Framework got it right, hot-swappable ports. "I don't need my USBC on the right at the moment but I'm next to the router, let me slap in my eth port instead and plug in for faster internet." I absolutely love it.
