My guess is that it has to do with the president lots of people speak fondly of, John F. Kennedy. Trump fans want him to be revered in the same way.

Not entirely on topic but I'm curious, why do people include the F. In John F. Kennedy? Was there another well known John Kennedy at the time?

Fair enough haha. Decided to look it up myself and apparently it was a trend started by Franklin D. Roosevelt. Newspapers liked using the initials since it saved space in headlines so it kind of stuck around.
