So, Thom Yorke was amazing. I chatted to the person next to me... Quite young looking woman, asked her if she'd seen Radiohead before, no first time. Told her I'd seen them in 97. Wow, that was before they got big. my dad went to that tour, that's where I got this shirt That show was 27 years ago... I was very likely at least double her age. I don't know whether I should feel old as time itself or that I should assume it's because of Radiohead being a timeless band and all that.... Second one right?
I don't know where she got the idea that Radiohead weren't huge before 1997. That was the year Ok Computer was released, and that's about as big as Radiohead got.
She barely knew anything about ok computer...ie. last song was Karma police, she'd heard it before she thought.... Different strokes I guess.

Weren't things a little... eventful?
Yeah. Very vocal Palestinian protest by one person at the last encore. Fair enough, but unfortunately I don't think the crowd got on their side because of that interruption to the show and their yelling and anger towards Thom Yorke. Crowd actually felt quite tense until the protester decided to leave the venue. Just seemrd like an odd choice by the protester. Buy a ticket then wait until the final encore acoustic song to have their have their say in such an aggressive manner and tone....
Yeah well, the protester didn't want to miss out on the show. There's no point in protesting during the first song and getting escorted out. Palestine is super important and all - but not worth missing out on the whole gig!
(I'm probably being nasty, but I suspect there's a kernel of truth in this)
