Love the way she describes the internal monologue/game when dealing with cars: "can you see me?" "Yes you can, good job". Used to tell myself the same when commuting by bycicle daily.
Nothing more nerve racking than biking up to an intersection and the driver's eyeballs are perfectly hidden behind the windshield pillar. I'm not moving until I know you see me.
I can't even trust that anymore. I almost got ran over by a bus who could definitely see me AND ACCELERATED. People around me gasped loudly, it was that ridiculous. Too bad I'm so blind I can't see numbers from afar.
