Florida law banning Chinese land ownership gets successfully appealed (www.politico.com)

A federal appeals court blocked a racist Florida law that restricts Chinese citizens from buying land from being enforced against the two people who sued the state. The court did not, however, block the law entirely; it's still in effect for everyone else. One of the judges, Nancy Abudu, agreed that this was a blatant violation of the Fourteenth Amendment, and the ACLU of Florida intends to continue fighting to prevent this law from being enforced more broadly.

This fight isn't over, but this decision certainly acknowledges the discriminatory nature of this law and is a big win.

The sheer Statesianess of saying "I don't care about race" within the same paragraph as referencing a racist caricature.

If you have such a problem with "governments that seek to fuck with other countries and cultures", maybe you should educate yourself on what your homeland you so adore has done just within the 50 ten years?

It can be overwhelming, there's so much horrifying shit. Maybe pick a small region first. I'd suggest Central America. El Salvador, Grenada and Haiti are right there. Or you can just look up Operation Condor if you're feeling ambitious.

I'm sure your devoted love to Turtle Island will continue unshaken if you earnestly try to confront its (recent) history. That's just sarcasm, I highly doubt you'll ever critically evaluate your own state and state-approved ideology.

Sometimes I think you people deserve this imagined foreign-backed plots and destruction y'all keep inventing to justify your own incompetence and white supremacy. Good luck fighting your great imagined war against foreign capital, I'm sure all the homeless immigrants will be proud of your national heorism.

Please ask your friends or relatives if they believe that you have anger issues. This is not a joke, and I am not telling you this in an attempt to make you look worse or make myself look better. I am seriously disturbed reading your replies; nobody needs to get this angry over this topic.

I know that there’s a low chance that you’ll take my advice, but all that I’m asking is that you ask your friends or relatives about your anger. That is it; you don’t need to do anything else. Are you willing to try that? Please think about it.
