God damn, that's a long ass list of steps...

Kinda crazy that's all necessary, I already didn't really wanna use Ubuntu since the switch to snap, but damn ๐Ÿ˜…

It's not that bad. You just have to add the repo to your sources, set the priority for the package, then you remove the snap and install the .Deb.

If you're not using Ubuntu, changes are you've done some more complicated stuff.

It seems disproportionately complicated relative to how basic the task is. I've definitely done more complicated stuff, despite being more of a graphical interface person, it just seems like such a basic (and common) thing a user might want, it seems like it should be as simple as sudo apt install . As long as I'm using apt and not snap, I expect it to install the .deb package. It feels user hostile :/
