Maybe take it up with the people who wrote the constitution.
Those people prefigured the situation, much like the US founders created the structural framework for disenfranchisement, racial capitalism, and global imperialism. We can't take it up with them, we just need to assess it soberly. Contemporaries do not get free passes merely because the precursors were created by now-dead peope
That's all well and good, but they're under attack by Putin, a Nazi who accuses everyone of nazism. Opening elections at this point would just encourage idiots to vote for their oppressors.
Is this projection?
Being anti-democracy and calling more than half of ukrainian people idiots, typical westerner behavior.
