Hello!

I want to switch to flowering phase this weekend. Currently it's 5am-11pm but I'm aiming for 8pm-8am.

Should I just have a 27hours day this night until 8am or better not?

In my post on a german community someone said longer nights are less stressful. Now I'm thinking about 21hrs dark tonight until 8pm, then 12/12 ...

21 hours of darkness would be ideal for more reasons than just that, too (like energy savings and flowering probably two days earlier). I've never heard that longer nights are less stressful, I think you'd be fine either way if it's just one. But 21 hours of darkness is probably the right play in any case.

Aight I'll give em a boost of darkness to get them started, thank you!

Btw I'd love to let you know that I built my own chain link fence for my first try of a scrog 😍

Hey growmie, if you want to really want to know what’s best for the plant overall for light length, look into DLI or Daily Light Integral. If you’re reaching the DLI for cannabis in 16 hours, extra light isn’t helpful.

Cannabis is also one of the few plants who don’t need a nightly dark period for growth, still learning the nuances of that.

But if you’ve got a weaker light, you can definitely get advantages if you can pay the power bill.

My current plants have been on 24/7 lighting for three weeks themselves, and cannabis also doesn’t start flowering till it gets less than 14 hours of light, so some people even mess with 13/11 or 11/13 light cycles for flower too.

Your plants are gorgeous and your fence looks great!
