Sorry about the image issues. We know about the issue, and Kaity will be looking at it today. Our matrix instance came under a pretty serious attack by transphobes this last week, and keeping it safe has been our big focus, so this has sort of lingered.

is the issue also affecting profile pics/banners or is that just me?

I believe so. Kaity has tried a couple of quick fixes, but it's still an issue. We'll be upgrading soon though, and will get it fixed when that happens!
