Hard drugs fill the void alright. But only temporarily. Being in addiction is all consuming
Just creates a new void that constantly needs to be filled with more drugs. It does simplify things a lot, drugs go in = good is about the extent of your preoccupations.
Maybe you need to make some drastic changes in your life, move to a new place, things like that. Not before you start with taking the steps to stop. I hope you find a solution that works for you mate, I was in the deep, deep end at some point in my life and if I managed to turn it around I'm confident you can too. Best of luck.
