Capitalism rewards psychopaths and sociopaths who want to gain control over you and would do anything possible if it means they can make an extra buck. Child labor? Slave labor? Ignoring environmental impact and destroying ecological heritage to avoid paying extra? Sell their own mother? Hell, why not if it means more profits.
And we all just sit around. But why? If that's the way it is... Why do we sit around. When are the tables going to turn? If we are living pointless lives why not just sacrifice them for the greater good?
The cage isn't locked we can all literally just walk out. But no one does. Except the homeless, off the grid, and "illegal" lifestyles. They are the only authentic people. And not even all of those people, because you can live those lifestyle but still live with "the game" in mind. Which isn't helping humanity.
You ever tried to fight capitalism? You ever tried to start a union? You ever tried doing a protest for workers' rights? For better conditions? For human rights? For the environments?
You'll be met with anti riot police forces and be beaten down with rubber bullets, tear gas, pepper spray and police batons.
Besides, in these conditions, who the fuck has time to protest. We're all trying to earn a wage that can afford the roof over our heads and food on our table and even that has become difficult. But it hasn't become problematic enough or a widespread enough problem for everyone to walk out all at once. Too many people are still too comfortable. And it's not in North America's culture to protest. Unlike in Europe. Especially France.
I'm North America, governments listen to one thing: money. So get rich quick or GTFO.
