Thinking of trying this out. I am seeing GrubHub, DoorDash, Postmates, UberEats. Where to go?

Avoid those. Call the restaurant directly or use their website. Because capitalism.

At that point it's better for me to just get the food directly, because I'm the most socially incompetent person alive, especially on the phone.

Some smaller restaurants rely on these third parties as they can’t pay for drivers.
