He’s absorbing heat and building energy to release it all in the form of zoomies and greeble hunting at 11pm and then 1am sharp.

He can't help that 11 pm and 1 am is when the greeblings show up. You should just be happy he is protecting you. Also remember foot greeblings are the most dangerous he has to attack your feet that hard or the greebling will get you.
