Well bugger. I think Iโ€™ve eaten some mouldy food today.

Two mini cupcakes in the morning and just now a bunch of stale biscuits that I didnโ€™t look too hard at.

Pray for me.

I'm not sure but I think we are the only ape that doesn't eat mould or mouldy food . It's why we don't have a blue food group. The only reason is that we are so good at finding food we don't need to eat mouldy stuff. We can digest it, we just don't have any appetite for it.

Off foods, such as dairy or meats are different and you shouldn't eat those.

Does cheese count as mouldy food?

@Thornburywitch @Seagoon_ Some of the most delicious foods are basically mouldy (or at least use yeast or a culture of some kind).

Cheese, wine, bread, cake, yoghurt, kimchi...

And you probably don't want to know how salami is made.

You might be surprised by what you can tolerate. Fingers crossed you don't suffer too long!

Iโ€™m still alive!

Tummy was a bit funny before but I wonder if that was anxiety causing it.

Just ate some other stuff and Iโ€™m feeling ok now.

The gut is so complex like that. So much that is beyond just what we eat in the here and now... our state of mind, long term diet, past infections can do so much to our gut flora. I'm surprised that I've been able to have coffee again without the loose motions after years of struggling with it - but for how long I'm not sure! And I have no idea what changed

The stale biscuits won't hurt you but the mouldy cupcakes might. I'll pray for you anyway ๐Ÿ™

Biscuits could have been mouldy too.

I had them stored in the same container :(
