depends, are you or your organization a threat on status quo? if not, you will probably get your neighbors pissed, difficult for getting employed and other stuff and some harassment here and there, killed, i don't think so.

the black panther party for example, were a threat to the status quo, the had ample presence in the whole country, was uniting other ethnical minorities under the rainbow coalition, heck they were even trying to talk it out white people from racism and so on and on, they were great.
