Do you use OCB Coal filters? These can be a little bit tricky to get rolled into a joint. I like the Curved OCB Tips the most, maybe give them a try to up your game. Although this looks pretty good for a start.
Yea, I'm using coal filters as they're a little more pleasant to smoke with. I used to choke a lot smoking through paper filters. But thanks for the suggestion - I'll keep it in mind!
Does the "good stuff" not get yoinked out of there with a charcoal filter?
Not to my knowledge. The cannabinoids and terpenes go through the filters, and the rest you don't want to inhale are filtered out. Makes for a more pleasant smoking experience all around - less itching, less coughing
Sweet I'm going to give it a try. I smoke joints the way other people smoke cigarettes, so I feel like it would make a difference.
Yea, cigarette filters aren't what your looking for for sure lol. According to my research, they also filter a substantial amount of THC in addition to anything else that might be filtered by them, so it's not an ideal high. You're probably better off just using self-made paper filters. Charcoal filters are where it's at, though
Oh nah, I smoke joints with glass filters that I cut myself out of borosilicate tubes. I meant "the way other people smoke cigarettes" as in quantity and frequency; I average 10 joints a day, every day. I'd smoke more if I could but I just don't have the time 😂
I did experiment with packing Top tubes with weed but the cigarette filter takes out "the good stuff" which is why I was skeptical of the charcoal ones.
Oh, yea sorry lol
So far, I'm quite content. Now glass filters, though. What's their deal?
Dude I'm telling you, glass filters are the way for sure. I cut a piece of 8mm OD boro tube down to approximately 30mm, which in my opinion is the ideal length and gauge for 1 1/4 papers. I can make I think 120 of them for like 9 bucks and I reuse them until they get lost or find their way to someone else's ashtray.
They never collapse or get soggy, even if the person you're smoking with drools like Homer Simpson. And if it's clean it tastes better than a cardboard filter too. It doesn't filter very effectively though, and in about 1% of my joints I suck a little flower into my mouth.
I thought I might be able to fill one with activated carbon and cap it with steel wool or something. That would be the best of both worlds, in my opinion.
Yeah i feel that, i only smoke with charcoal filters(for 3+ years) :D Have you tried the purize filters? I find they dont have as much of a taste of their own. Sadly not every kiosk or gas station offers them but headshops usually have them.
These seem quite similar to what I'm using. What's the difference exactly?
Good question, maybe it's the size of coal or the thickness/shape of the ceramics, but i found they taste less of coal.
