Thanks for sharing. Every time I see a picture of the Tiananmen Square massacre I get shivers. That man is one of the most amazing icons of resistance against oppression. I like to think of myself as brave but I'm genuinely skeptical if I'd have the courage to stand in front of a tank that way.

Massacre? You can see in back there's no massacre going on, just rows of people getting arrested, and the western narrative of "thousands of unarmed protesters were machine gunned down in the square, then squashed by tanks into nothingness" is entirely false.

Photos and eyewitnesses from the period tell us there was a battle with police in the surrounding streets, after protesters lynched and burned a number of cops.
