Yeah hard agree with this. Old reddit sucks on mobile unfortunately while new reddit sucks everywhere but is nonetheless slightly more usable on mobile (especially with ublock and a few other plugins). I am very hopeful we keep growing over here so the niche communities can start to get traction and I can stop going over there entirely.

What is the best way to foster niche communities? Do we just need more users overall?

Yeah I think we just need more users. I mean a lot of my niche ones exist on here, which mean other users have already cared enough to start it up, but there's just not enough people to get them active.
