Unfortunately, this problem she is talking about represents a major problem on the left that my intersectional ass is noticing way too damn much.

It really seems like, for many leftists, justice is either:

1. supported for the sake of selfishness (people only care about supporting pro-justice causes that they'd personally benefit from, but they'll gladly be oppressive in other contexts)
2. taken as a performative gesture to make someone look noble, righteous, inclusive, and "woke" without any genuine care or concern for marginalized people

I feel this is seldom ever addressed because, like I said, it seems like this issue is so common that many leftists aren't even realizing that it's an issue. If you just drown out the voices of intersectional people, why would someone even have to care?

The fact that leftists lacking intersectionality is the norm and not the exception has been one of the scariest things for me when it comes to interacting with much of the left.

Seems to me that these people want to date people of high social status/privilege in society - and due to mediocre white men's complete lack of any highly positive qualities - by virtue of being "mediocre" - can more easily be stripped back to only being viewed as white and a man as the sole standing "positive qualities", making them a more pure symbol of status/privilege

Hi empoc comrades! School has started back up for me which is fun, I enjoy school and I really like my classes this semester. Also I borrowed a physical copy of The Wretched of the Earth from one of my profs and I’ve started reading it. I’m enjoying it so far.

I'm Iranian-American and Muslim. I wrote a comic about a Muslim Iranian-American superhero, and it did well! So I wanted to make a new comic where people had other identities.

Lilly AKA the Red Dragon is Chinese; Rocky AKA the Blue SeaSerpent is Samoan; and DeShaun AKA the Pink Unicorn is Black.

They're brought together by cryptic messages from the future, and forced to form an unlikely team to thwart a Vampire conspiracy at the heart of the American Military Industrial Complex.

I want to make stories that simply don't even involve yt people and focus on how our various experiences, both shared and culture-specific, interweave to create a rich tapestry.
