Context: So Doom killed Hydra's leadership and replace them with doombots to control them, the Avengers discovered this and told everyone, but this was a plot by Doom to put them in a bad spot and him as the hero, all of this during Doom's takeover of the world

Spoilers abound!

I'm really loving the Absolute stuff so far, and of what I've read, Superman is the best. Kal-El gets a whole childhood with his working class family on Krypton, and the depiction of environmental devastation is very tightly wound with the explicit class politics of the series.

Absolute comics start from the basic premise of heroes reimagined without class advantages, and they take dramatic swings with the characters that have been paying off consistently.

Looking forward to reading Flash and Martian Manhunter next.

It was a fun first arc, i think all 3 absolutes comics have already finished their first arc, i liked all 3 of them but my favorite is still wonder woman

Also Absolute Flash 1 was a good first issue but i will post about it tomorrow

Really good reimagining of superman where he is a champion of the oppressed again, i recomend it its a good run
