Once hailed as an innovative tool for crypto creators to hype their meme coins, the livestream function quickly spiraled into chaos, with users exploiting it for violence, threats, and outright insanity.

The livestream feature wasn’t always a cesspool. Pump.fun launched it in May, pitching it as a revolutionary way for creators to connect with audiences. Token creators could go live, promote their projects, and engage directly with investors.

At first, it worked. Streams became hubs for token launches, and meme coin creators flocked to the platform. But the same gamified features that made the streams popular also made them easy to exploit. Bad actors used sensational content to grab attention, boost their tokens, and manipulate prices.

This obviously isn't something new that shows up overnight. We already had dating sims and the likes. But with generative AIs, the catch is that of scale and of personalization: not only it is easier to make thousands of virtual partners at a time, each individual virtual partners can be personalized to our liking.

Not even Huxley could have predicted this lol.

"Every now and again a story comes along that shows how much goodness there truly is in the world."

On June 20, subreddit r/ABoringDystopia posted a video of a Burger King employee named Kevin Ford, 54, who says he received a gift from management after 27 years on the job. In the video, which was originally posted on his Instagram on May 25, Ford delves into the items he received from HMSHost, the company from which Burger King hires, which included a Starbucks reusable tumbler, a bag of Reese’s candy, pens and two rolls of Lifesavers, amongst other items. Additionally, managers at the Las Vegas Burger King where Ford works gave him a slice of chocolate cake to celebrate the milestone. While Ford remained appreciative in the video, expressing his gratitude, the response online was a touch more critical.....

This isn't safe, either. It is untreated and raw, and several bodies of water have been found to contain pathogens such as E. Coli as a result.
