I don't think you can stop cruelty through cruelty. Veganism is about acknowledging every individual and abstaining from exploitation and cruelty towards them. It's not some sort of utilitarian philosophy where it's ok sacrifice a small number of individuals for the good of a larger group.

It's not that complicated... Plant based = diet Veganism = philosophy

Can't really blame you for not knowing as they do get used interchangeably in the media.

But you can't just self identify as a person that follows a certain philosophy without actually following it. Vegans avoid cruelty towards animals and humans are animals.

From my understanding, carnism is closely related to speciesism. Most people wouldn't eat dogs or cats, but happily eat chickens, cows and pigs.

If you're hurting anyone, outside of combat sports or self defense, you're not vegan. Those men might have been plant based but certainly not vegan

My all time favourite anime is Steins;Gate. It's a really cool take on a time travel story and it's an emotional rollercoaster. I just finished rewatching it recently and it has some cringy scenes but I still love it :D

No they don't, but you need certain characters in your party for some quests. So I always just swap them out and hope that before I have to fight the boss they'll level up enough lol. Currently stuck on 1 boss though

Yeah it is. The enemies have armour which can only be destroyed by certain attacks, which you may not have in your party. Also, you can't see their HP and they tend to have lots of it. As to my party, I'm not sure if this is the right approach, but I've recruited everyone and I keep on swapping them out so that I can do all the stories xD

I'm playing Octopath Traveler. Had it for absolutely ages but never got around to playing it. It's really good, but it took me a while to get used to the combat.
