I finished Prince of Fools by Mark Lawrence (The Red Queen's War). Not sure what it is but this one didn't click with me as well as other Mark Lawrence books I've read. I will continue the series though.

I just started A Fever in the Heartland by Timothy Egan. It's about the KKK in the 1920s. So far it's both interesting and infuriating. I think I will learn a lot from this book.

I finished The Path of Daggers by Robert Jordan (Wheel of Time book 8). Not a bad book, but definitely slow and uneventful compared to previous entries.

While I wait for the next book to become available, I've picked up Prince of Fools by Mark Lawrence (Red Queen's War book 1). This will be my fourth trilogy by him and I've loved them all so far.

Oh interesting, good to know. I'll plan to read them back to back when I get to them then!

How are you liking Murderbot?

I finished A Crown of Swords (wheel of time book 7) and loved it but now I'm taking a short break from the series.

Currently reading Birnam Wood by Eleanor Catton. Thrillers are not generally my cup of tea, but it's nice to read a fast paced book to break up the super long epic series.

Once that's done, I'm going to reread To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Haven't touched that book since middle school so I think it's time for a revisit.

I've reached book 7 of The Wheel of Time (A Crown of Swords). I've enjoyed most of what I've read so far but definitely daunted by how much is still left (and having heard this is the start of the slog).

Just started The Wheel of Time book 6, Lord of Chaos. Still enjoying this series but do wish Robert Jordan was less wordy sometimes. The prologue alone in this book was 50 pages.

Finished The Fires of Heaven (Wheel of Time book 5). Put a hold on book 6 but haven't gotten it yet.

Meanwhile I've been reading The Facemaker by Lindsey Fitzharris. It's a non-fiction about the use and advances of plastic surgery in World War 1 to reconstruct soldiers' faces. It does not hold back in describing how brutal these injuries were, making it a tough read.
