Great Catch! My spreadsheet auto counts the ballots and compares it against a list of FBS schools. Louisina-Monroe was on the ballot but Louisiana—Monroe was on the list. I've updated the results!
Trends I'm noticing:
- Vandy beats Kentucky and c/cfb decides neither of them deserve a ranking anymore
- The two traditional service academies come storming into the rankings this week, Army jumps in at 13
- BYU storms all the way up to 6th after thier convincing win over Arizona
- Iowa State and Indiana in the banner, you love to see it
- Notre Dame is back to the top 10, meanwhile NIU receives no votes...
- Texas finally appears to have a legitimate challenger to their top spot
- Just like at the end of regulation in their head to head, Vandy and Mizzou are tied with 11 points
- No ties in the actual rankings though, I believe that's the first time all season
I don't think Ole Miss ousts him, but with the playoffs no longer looking like an option for Ole Miss I've heard rumors of uf potentially making moves for him. The previous crystal ball reading indicated that florida probably wouldn't go for him as that would be waiting around too long, they wanted to have a name to announce by year end. I don't know about any of this. Remember I get most of my "insider" info from Vols, and definitively not from gainsville.
When you get rid of him, just get Kiffin please. I will straight up cry if uf gets him
I mean I think it is... that's what the penalty is for lol
Finally someone comes out and says it, ULM is better than Tennessee!
Look, not that I actually disagree with the Vols' ranking here. But if the AP is gonna drop us only like 5 spots after LOSING to Arkansas, then dropping us 3 more after BEATING florida is insane.
Here's my ballot, as always my methodology is fuck you I do what I want
- Texas
- Oregon
- Georgia
- LSU
- Miami (FL)
- Tennessee
- Ohio State
- Clemson
- Penn State
- Iowa State
- UNLV
- Notre Dame
- Army
- Indiana
- Alabama
- Nebraska
- BYU
- Michigan
- Boise State
- Navy
- Illinois
- Vanderbilt
- Pittsburgh
- Kentucky
- Oklahoma
Last 2 spots aren't SEC bias, no siree
Welcome back! Hopefully things are going alright now. If you missed it, we're running a cfp seeding contest this season to try and boost engagement a little as well.
Yes this is the high quality content I like to see
Edit:
But as impressive as the Vols were
Yeah this writer didn't actually watch the game
It was a back and forth hard fought effort, but ultimately it was the gators who came out on bottom
We had a last second schedule change for practices today, so I can actually check in for some Thursday night MACtion! (Also the BC-VT game but that's gross)
