Autocomplete is usually an algorithm. LLMs are neural nets. There's a fundamental technical distinction.

But that's not relevant, because we're not talking about the technical details of LLMs. We're talking about the technical details of human consciousness. And unless you can fully explain where human consciousness comes from, this debate is not settled.

Can I see your story? Something about this whole event grips me. I can't learn enough about it.

There is never any good reason to point a gun at someone you are not currently trying to kill.

Yes there is. The good reason is being an actor who is playing a character who's trying to kill someone.

Actually, he didn't pull the trigger. It was a revolver and he fired it by pulling the hammer back.

She learned how to be an armourer from her dad and it seems like he was the one who provided her a live round. She had no idea what she was doing, he's a bad armourer and a bad parent who raised and taught another bad armourer.

Yeah, it was an AD. Armourer handed the gun to AD, AD shouted "cold gun" and handed it to Baldwin. Baldwin treated it like a cold gun and got someone killed. AD pleaded guilty.

I couldn't find any reference to them plinking cans onset. The version of the story I read says she got the rounds from her dad, and they were "reloaded" rounds that had originally been dummies but were made live by hand. Basically her dad's a careless armourer who mixes reloaded rounds with dummies and didn't teach his daughter to check her ammo.

The actor didn't actually pull the trigger. He pulled back the hammer on the revolver manually. I guess they needed a working hammer for the scene.

And it would all be solved very quickly if we just converted the economy to communism.

I bought a Pixel a because it has a headphone jack. I only cared about one thing. When mine dies, I'll buy whatever still has a headphone jack.

The government is building housing as fast as they want to build housing. They're providing subsidies to external developers to build suburbs zoned for residential only. You know how fast the Soviet Union built housing when they put their minds to it? It's just a matter of taxing enough from the rich, and investing in government run industry instead of relying on corporations.

Money in the accounts of the rich is static. It doesn't move through the economy, it sits there are gets leveraged so they can take more. Money in the hands of the workers moves. We spend it on rent and groceries and doctors visits. The cause of a recession is simple: we don't have enough money to spend past the essentials. If there are more workers in need of money, so what? Build them houses and give them the benefits of taxes. Ideally paying them to build houses and killing two birds with one stone. The reason the government hasn't done this is they don't want to. They're in the pockets of big business.
