This is the first game under the publishing company of Dunkey if I remember correctly. I will definitely check it out to see why he backed it.

Absolutely loved Sayonara Wild Hearts. Very excited to see what this next game will be.

The fact that all the heroes are free from the start is a big reason I prefer Dota.

I wonder if this trend has any connection with the rise of dating apps? Dating apps tend to be overwhelming for women, so they don't use them. Men are often unsuccessful on them. It ends up hurting the self worth of a lot of users. And men who feel like they aren't getting seen are exploited for premium subscriptions. If men are looking for an explanation or advice to the dating world, someone like Tate could be very appealing.

This is a problem with every online only game. Publishers could push an update for offline play (I think switch sports already has this) or a way for users to host their own server. But when a game is at end of life there's no incentive to push an update like this. It needs to be considered while the game is in initial development. Usually the server shuts off and the game dies. See Killer Queen Black for one of many examples. That game got removed from the store too, so even if you buy a physical copy you can't update the software to the newest version.

It's sad.
