It folds out and you screw it together like an ikea dresser.

Plus i mean its 1 bomb and as soon as they use it Russia turns them into glass. Makes more sense to not use it. Its more valuable as leverage than as a weapon.

Old lady got mad at her husband threw a fork at him, missed, and it flew across the restaurant and hit a child in the head. The mother was not happy. Luckily it wasnt the pointy end that hit.

Make art you would like and dont worry about what people want. Youll develop an audience who like the same things you do.

Depends. What does retiring mean? Does it count if society collapses and i go live in the woods?

Atleast they arent one of the poor unfortunate souls named Adolf who were born in the 30s.

Baofeng AR-5RM Handheld Radio. Costs under 30$ and is extremely useful and versatile. Can pick up just about any frequency youd need, VHF, UHF, AM, FM, GMRS, etc. and while not waterproof its built very tough. Could probably use it to beat somebody to death then pick it back up and have a conversation on it.

Maybe get an autism screening. Autistic people tend to have a very strong moral compass while neurotypicals dont as much.

No they werent on to something because the rationale given doesnt line up with any legit reason to not eat pork. So at best they just were exercising an abundance of caution without understanding why. Pork needs like any meat to be prepared properly for consumption. If its a food they werent very knowledgeable on they wouldnt know how to prepare it safely. So instead of learning how they just banned it.

Now if you want to make an argument for not eating pork with modern knowledge you can. Pigs are extremely smart and even more so than dogs and some studies suggest chimps. So theres the moral argument not to eat it. But that isn't very convincing to me for pork. All animals are pretty smart and clearly have feelings and emotions and i eat them so why single out pigs to be nice to? I would like to see a transition to lab grown meats eventually, and for farms to treat animals humanely. Its not a very high priority for me on reforming society tho since we dont even treat eachother humanely yet.

Also to get in front of it before someone says "just be vegan/vegetarian then". I was for like 10 years and eventually had to stop because due to health related dietary restrictions i couldn't eat enough foods to get all the nutrients i needed. I have allergies and intolerances that if i were to stop eating animal products i wouldnt be able to eat the plant based alternatives that give the same type of nutrients. So i dont have a choice but to eat animals.

So this is something ive thought about a little bit and never really see it talked about much. Im curious to hear what others here think.

Basically the premise is this. We had the league of nations and that failed. Now we have the UN and while arguably more effective in some ways atleast its still pretty bad at reigning in rogue states like the US and Israel for example.

So thinking about the future how should we change the structure of something like the UN to make it more ideal for a world post-US Empire. Im also curious to hear if you all would even support an organization like this or if you prefer to allow nations to engage in diplomatic talks one on one and not have an international community butting in.

What level of control should a "UN" have, and what mechanisms should it have access to for putting pressure on member nations if any?

Im kinda baffled. I use lutris for launching windows games in linux and for the longest time now its worked great. Well i was playing a game and it was working fine. i closed it went and did some other stuff for an hour or so and came back. When i went to launch it suddenly its throwing errors about needing umu to launch proton even tho proton worked just fine not an hour ago. I think ok ive had issues with flatpacks before. Let me uninstall the flatpack and get the system package. I do so and now proton doesnt even appear as an option in the configure menu. I googled around and i cant find any similar issue. The thing that really baffles me is it just seems to have stopped working for no reason. I didnt update anything, didnt change anything. The Lutris on my desktop still works perfectly fine too. Its just the one on my laptop doesnt want to use proton now? Anyone experienced this and know whats up? The umu thing it mentioned at first would need to be compiled from the github and i know thats not something Lutris normally needs since i have had it working without doing that and currently do on my desktop. I guess i could manually install it anyway but i worry itll just make things worse.

Edit: Its suddenly working again i have no idea why

I was wondering what places you all find have the most reliable info about current events? Any specific news sites that do a good job of actually reporting on stuff most places ignore? Mostly looking for written articles rather than videos.
