The Brezhnev era was pretty okay imo. Andropov probably also would have been if he hadn't died that quickly.

The Soviets managed to overcome economic collapse, societal upheaval, and general unrest after the Russian Civil War. If it worked then, why not in 1989? You just need competent leadership and defeat counterrevolutionaries the same way the white movement was defeated.

What do you do to stop the counterrevolutions?

I would probably tell Poland to either reenact martial law or face mobilization of Soviet troops that are already stationed in Poland to hunt down the so called "solidarity" terrorists ourselves. Meanwhile, I would tell Hungary to close the borders again under a similar threat. Obviously I would try to prevent another 1956 but those reactionaries involved in that decision must be removed from power.

Meanwhile, at home in the Soviet Union, I would put a stop to Glasnost but probably continue Perestroika by turning it towards the Chinese model.

What else did anyone expect from the biggest terrorist organization in human history?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

She's from the mainland.

That's a lost cause. She also hates me and uses swear words in every second sentence to curse both me and China.

So there's this international student from China in my class and she constantly spreads misinformation about the PRC and its history. She basically bootlicks Western propaganda 24/7. She's also politically active in numerous student organizations and travels back to China frequently, which leads me to believe she and/or her family and friends are up to no good over there as well. Should I report her to the 12339 website of the MSS?

1337x to the rescue :p

I like that one :)

I know, it's not exactly the best way to measure where you stand politically but I'm just curious what your results are.

I score far left on the economical scale (almost hitting the edge) and about two squares from the center into the authoritarian quarter.

Thank you Yemen for supporting Palestine and defying the terrorist acts of the genocidal fascist states of Israel and the US! Enjoy this beautiful Yemeni song!

Keep blocking those terrorist AmeriKKKan and Zionist ships!

Are there any decent alternatives to Amazon? Please don't say Walmart.

To complement BDS, which products should we buy more of because doing so supports Palestine?

Anyone taking part in BDS knows that HP is one of the companies we should boycott due to their support for Israel. However, printer manufacturers generally sell their printers at a loss and make most of their money by selling overpriced ink instead. It's a complete scam in fact since those ink cartridges only cost a couple of cents to make. Wouldn't we hurt HP (and by extension Israel) more if we do buy their printers but then buying third party ink instead?

Although to be fair, I'd strongly recommend staying away from inkjet printers and using ecotank or laser printers. Does the same logic apply for those types of printers?

I was harassed by a police officer for putting Free Palestine stickers on a public lamp post. So much for "American freedom" lmao. Unless this is actually illegal (which he did not mention), I should be fine to just keep doing this, right?
