Their pre-approval was massively inflated. Thats what happens when you name your country after a precious metal.
Even if Israel or the CIA didnt do it, it doesnt matter. It was inevitable that when they racheted up tensions with an enemy and kept it high for over half a year that something could happen that could be misinterpreted, or distorted. It was an incredibly dangerous and irresponsible thing to do. Assuming you wanted to avoid a war. No one believes Israel wants to avoid a war. And what is even the point? Israel doesnt have the ability to invade or strategically bomb Iran.

i joined an org. In retrospect i think one of the head organisers was a cop running a honey pot. The org required personal details to join including home address. Things like this shouldnt have been necessary to show up to a club, but i think maybe it was because they were trying to be a legally constituted organisation
