To be fair, Stirner was a pretty cool dude, so I get why :p

Yeah. I pretty much have to play it with mods that double/triple the daytime length, or I just feel perpetual anxiety over not being able to get anything done in a day.
I don't like the idea of claiming a whole group I disagree with is comprised of bots or paid agents trolling to create division, but at this point, the only plausible alternatives to that are either those people are having a severe martyr complex, or just are so overly privileged that they are divorcing themselves from reality and don't/can't comprehend the consequences of what they're advocating, essentially treating this whole thing like a sports game.
Or maybe both, and are trying to throw trans people, black people, women, etc. under the bus to fuel their martyr complex in their stead.
I mostly lurk and prefer to not get involved in politics, but GOOD GOD I'M SO GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS THIS WAY. It's so exhausting.
What sucks is that voting isn't swearing a blood oath that turns you into a slave of neoliberalism and prevents you from doing direct action: you can do both. Voting isn't going to save Palestinians (and it's a bitter pill to swallow, I know), but it's going to save lots of other vulnerable minorities (who never really asked to be born in the imperial core!), and still provide breathing room for direct action that can help Palestine.
Like... even if you don't care about the safety of trans people, pragmatically speaking it's immensely easier to organize as leftists in a neoliberal regime than it is in a fascist regime. Just look at what happened to the KPD when they proclaimed "first Hitler, then it's our turn". (Yes, the SPD backstabbed them during Weimar - RIP Rosa Luxemburg - but that pales to the Nazis basically rounding them all up and sending them to the gas chambers!) I don't want history to repeat. Please don't let it repeat.
That really fucking sucks, I'm so sorry you have to deal with this bullshit. Landlords really are the worst.
Oh my god, tell me about it.
Even when you want to rent a place and can afford to do so, landlords make the situation really difficult because many of them put up places supposedly for rent, but make it as difficult as possible for someone to actually qualify to rent it, since they're only doing it to inflate their net worth and having someone living there apparently devalues it. It took me over a year to find a place that actually was willing to let me rent it because most others would cook up bullshit reasons to reject me (my personal favourite being one that got mad at me and put me in their blacklist for... asking too many questions about their property???).
Like... I have money. They are offering a good in exchange for money. I am willing to spend money in exchange for this good. It shouldn't be this hard.
This was a great review, thank you for sharing. I've been meaning to play Fallout 4, but as someone who loved the worldbuilding of New Vegas, the story puts me off.
What I'd really like is a mod that removes the game's main storyline, so I can either focus on the adventuring/settlement-building aspects (thus turning the game into a sandbox), or combine it with good story mods and basically have them replace FO4's main questline. The only mod I know that does it is Fallout London. (I really need to figure out how to run it on Linux...)
Do you happen to know or recommend anything that fits with what I'm looking for?
I never heard of it, I'm intrigued now. Do you remember what it was called?
It's in the Workshop! Here you go: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3293418308
I really need to get more into Project Zomboid, I really love its Sims-like aesthetic and early 90s setting. But the whole zombie apocalypse thing quite scares me since I'm pretty terrified of the idea of being eaten alive by a zombie horde and then becoming a zombie @_@ (the end of the tutorial shook me to my core, lol)
I actually made a little "modpack" collection and sandbox game mode that turns it from a zombie apocalypse game to something more like Silent Hill (replacing zombies with eldritch entities, and making them spawn less frequently and move slower, but be far more resistant to damage), since that ironically makes the game less terrifying for me and more manageable to play 😅 (plus I quite like liminal spaces in general, which is something I wanted to replicate with the mod collection)
This is currently me with modded Kerbal Space Program and Cities: Skylines lol
