The US election system is so fucked up (by design) that it's kinda funny that the dems would be more successful if they tried to move more to the right than they already are. A shit ton of people in the US already think Kamala is too far left (somehow) so moving more right would literally get a lot of their vote because there's a good amount of right-wingers who don't like Trump. Plus, if you convince some republicans to vote democrat it's like you're getting two votes (you get one vote, and republicans lose one).

Edit: I appreciate the replies, honestly I'm not in the correct mindset to make comments and think today. Sleep schedule is all messed up and I did not think my thoughts through here lol

That's the west's favorite way to do it. "This country is terrible and we can squash them" and at the same time they say "this country is a menace and will take over the world if we don't stop them."

Balkan Odyssey is a weird (weird in the idk what to think about them sense) one imo. They've got some good videos but I remember watching their "What do we do with former socialism" video and they had some bad opinions. The one I remember off the top of my head was that they said

“Marxists-Leninists, or Stalinists, for the lack of a better term […]”

Not necessarily a psychology book but Wretched of the Earth by Frantz Fanon does go into a psychoanalysis of the effects colonization has on people and nations as a whole.

This could be the whole thread right here. Great book that goes very in depth and really opened my eyes years ago when I read it.

You're not wrong at all but there's also the chance your kids turn out like Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg (both their fathers were/are Marxists).

Yeah, France is trying to expand voting rights to recent settlers because the indigenous community is getting closer and closer to passing a vote for independence. It's a desperate attempt to stop it. Fuck France

Send to device should be sending it to the memory of your Kindle. I have a Kobo and that's how it is for me at least and I don't think it'd be that different for Kindles from what I understand.

Can't help with Colombia specifically but on the wider topic of Latin America I highly recommend "Open Veins of Latin America".

I hate finding cockroaches in my home but I've definitely found an appreciation for them in general. They're pretty important to the world's ecosystem.

Tier lists originated in video game culture pretty much. It's a way to try to subjectively rank things within a game by its viability. The s tier thing comes from Japan I believe, where in some academic cases they give an S grade for excellent performance. In the context of tier lists the reason there might be a S+ tier is because some characters might be really really good and are in S tier but some characters are just way better than everyone else and are in a league of their own.

He loves the US intelligence agencies and works with them so him being a Zionist makes sense.

TLDR:

  • “New quality productive forces” concept at center of Two Sessions 2024
  • Hong Kong passes its own national security law
  • China-Africa relationship moves towards industrialization and mineral development
  • China-Australia relations warming up
  • Gala 3.15, an annual TV show, exposes scams and false advertising of brands and companies
