Why shouldn't we send troops in cooperation with our allies to safeguard the rules based order? The reason why we got into the world wars is because nobody did anything to prevent them until it was too late. When i think of Android i don't think of it as part of the gnu/linux ecosystem, but a heavily modified linux kernel turned against the user.

The problem with Android is it is very invasive and in my opinion untrustworthy. How many of these Android OS's from various vendors are not kept up to date, with unpatched vulnerabilities because they dump support to force upgrade their customers to the next model, when your phone should still be functionally viable. How many apps in the Android ecosystem are just info vacuums? It's a very predatory ecosystem and i would prefer a libre solution to these scumbag predatory corporations. It blows my mind how people are so numb to the abuses of these companies, they won't even consider alternatives. Iphones aren't a viable alternative either unless you're into joining abusive cults. I have both a Pinephone and a Librem 5, and they work fine if you don't mind horrible battery life, i just wish we had more alternatives and I'll put my money towards that endeavor.

So this is a religion to you isn't it? You feel that i should have some kind of blind faith and accept propositions without rigorous scientific investigation and debate. Do you always accept what somebody tells you without question?

I think finding the truth of things is important.

No, i think it is healthy to have a questioning mind and not just accept anything somebody says. I don't believe in ghosts, big foot, ogopogo , or visiting aliens. Do i think life exists elsewhere even though i have no aliens on hand to prove it, yes. I believe it's likely life exists elsewhere because all the components necessary for life to exists exists here and throughout the universe. If life can evolve here it can evolve somewhere else.
The problem i have with the idea of visiting aliens is the time and distances involved. It just seems incredibly unlikely any machine or life could survive for such long periods in the vastness of space. Does it mean i think it's impossible, no, just unlikely. So if somebody comes to me with a tale of thousand year old corpses of aliens, i'm going to be skeptical and demand proof.
The UFO world is full of grifters and delusional people and being skeptical of outlandish claims is natural and a sign of a healthy thinking mind.

Lots, more than a university nobody has heard of. There's a number of prestigious universities and medical sciences facilities out there. Peer reviewed and properly critiqued. That's how science works, more professional people the better.
