Kinda makes you wonder why Joe Biden didn't take advantage of that at any point over the last several months when so much is at stake.

Or could it be that your leadership and policies are seen as poor, uninspiring, and indistinguishable from the opposition amongst those that you refer to as "children or dogs?"

Oh yeah it really seems like Israel has been holding back over the last 13 months. The ethnic cleansing is about to get so much cleansinger!

Well, when that baloney sandwich spends the whole campaign saying "I can smell like a pile of human shit too!" it should be obvious why it lost to an actual pile of human shit.

Maybe you should ask yourself why a baloney sandwich was hand picked over something like a patty melt, club, or BLT and why that baloney sandwich was more concerned with trying to look like a pile of human shit than a delicious sandwich.

There's almost zero representation for the left in the Democratic party, so it's not accurate to refer to the party as the left. Both of these parties are catering to the right, but one seems confused about why they keep losing to the party who isn't afraid to admit that they're just catering to the right.

Representation is a thing, but they assume far too much about it: “Let’s run a black woman - we’ll get all the black AND woman votes! And she’s Asian, too!” Meanwhile they are doing little for the working class issues that affect these voters most.

Right on the nose. Here's a perfect example of this, which I find incredibly demeaning toward the supposed demographic they're trying to court. It just shows how out of touch the party is.

Jesus christ you're literally quoting "George Soros funding the deep state left" MAGA rhetoric here and wondering why the dems lost the election. Stop trying to out-Republican the Republicans and maybe you'll stop costing us elections.

If that's what you believe, why didn't you demand that a man take her place?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

I still somewhat cling to this same belief although I think it's a futile effort as you're not just competing against randos online, but networks of bots, disinformation campaigns, state actors, and an army of gullible individuals who parrot their rhetoric. You just can't compete against that as a single person.

There is no excuse for this kind of behavior from Democratic voters. The above argument suggests Harris is not competing against Trump, but competing against the ideals of the Democratic voters. If this was really a matter of candidate vs candidate, on the issues, Trump would have lost. But this time Democratic voters fucked themselves because everything on their list wasn't met. And now nothing on their list is met.

I never said leftist.

So who are you referring to, the right-wing neoliberals of the party whose ideals align perfectly with people like Biden, Harris, George W. Bush, and Reagan?

Maybe appealing to right-wing ideals isn't a winning strategy for a party who's supposed to be representing the left, but maybe they need to lose a few more elections over it just to be sure.

And how many elections are you (and DNC leaders) willing to lose by insisting that you're correct and everyone else is the problem? That running as a "diet Republican" is the correct strategy instead of appealing to the left? Liberals have spent the last 8 years (and more) attacking leftists and spouting Republican rhetoric and now you want to blame those same leftists because your strategy failed yet again (for nearly the third time in a row)? That's rich.

We had it on the ballot here in Oregon, and it got rejected. It probably didn't help that I didn't see a single bit of outreach from state Dems who've been controlling the state for the past 40 years, but that's probably because they're more concerned about retaining power for the party than actually fixing things, so they didn't want it to pass.
