But the future is inevitable, isn't it better to be less pessimistic and attempt to be prepared for it instead of just waiting?

It's not like I hate it but it felt like a review target for a specific audience and with little journalistic work. I was a bit disappointed because he is often refered to be one of the most serious and unbiaised tech reviewers on the internet.

But yeah, that was a first impression indeed.

I think there was some ethical drama in his company a while ago, which might have been recently answered 🤷‍♂️

I personally didn't like the very few videos I saw of him, it looked like g@mer consumerist obsessions. The latest I saw was about the last Fairphone release and he was very critical about what I'd call very reasonable design choices, like capping the screen to 60Hz instead of max 90 by default, or having to turn the phone off to swap SD card. This video felt like it was not an honest criticism or intended to a very niche audience (eg. hot swapping SD cards might be critical in the eyes of someone producing video content).

They just talk about Steam games that were verified by Valve's process. So yeah, as you said, it's much larger for people who are willing to do a tiny bit of tinkering 👍

You're not an idiot, I had the same issue with last epoch and it took me a while to understand. Half rate shadering has no side effects on most games so I didn't see this coming 🙍‍♂️

Oh Wtf, I think it's because of a bad connection at that time

This keyboard seems worse than any virtual keyboard 😅

To be honest I was recently forced back into Windows by my employer recently and I don't get it's good for :p

I was more thinking that if people were paying they might give more thoughts to what they are diving into. But yeah I agree that's just a wet dream.

You mean that having N+1 sensors every other year is redundant. My phone is 4 years old and had already a quite bad camera at that time so I wouldn't know.

Seeing photos from other people it's obvious how good phones have become (even if there might be some overengineering), on the other hand my phone also had a bad CPU / RAM / Battery / Screen for the time and people who have phones with more computing power than my laptop do the exact same things as I do.

I hope for one good thing to come out from all this AI madness : people might get used to pay for a service on the internet again. If this miraculously happens it could lead to people more cautiously choose services over quality instead of the one with darkest patterns.

One can still dream...

My FP3 hanged around in my pocket unprotected for 4 years and still has no scratch on its screen. I feel like the industry learned how to make basically indestructible glass for a while (except if you casually put diamonds in the same pocket).
